Reporting to the Executive Director, the head of catering is responsible for maximising the service, presentation, profitability and ongoing development of the theatres bar and catering operation, recruiting, managing and training all staff for which they are responsible. The turnover of the bar and catering averages 1 million and includes 4 separate food service areas whilst multiple events for up to 150 covers are catered for Main duties to cover Commercial operations, Staff Management, Health and Safety | |

It is essential for this role, the successful candidate has a genuine interest in theatre and has worked in a large theatre/entertainment venue (or live performance large capacity venue) as the head of catering The successful candidate will be used to working in a time pressured environment, working to tight deadlines, excellent with logistics, a passion for hospitality, trend aware and a drive to continually push the service standards of the food and beverage offering. Experience of managing a large team including a large number of casual staff -Organised, calm and tactful approach with a strong ability to deal appropriately with a wide variety Independently problem solving quickly and efficiently A calm and positive attitude, sense of humor, enthusiasm and polite manner and a willingness to lead by example A demonstrable passion for good food and drink, excelling within the catering industry with great Proven ability to manage key cost lines and work within budgets Hours -Generally Monday to Friday - 10 -6 p.m with the flexibility to work weekends at busy peak seasonal periods and evenings - Hours averaging 40 hours per week Closing date for applications extended to the 26th of March 2021 | |
