The Company:
Popular and well reviewed Boutique hotel located in the North of UK offering a fabulous guest experience , is now looking for an experienced and proficient Head Chef from a 1/2 rosette background and or high end brasserie restaurant environment to join its team. This 80 cover restaurant with street facing entrance is a destination restaurant for the surrounding areas and also very popular with the hotel residents , there is also a 100 cover function room With full menu creativity and set in in a stunning market town with excellent amenities ( excellent local schools ) this is a fantastic opportunity for a talented professional to join a company offering a great working environment and a chance to push the food offering with profit share options This project is a long-term vision for the owners with a plan to evolve at a steady pace using locally sourced ingredients to create the best of modern British Gastronomy with a menu that changes with the seasons. As Head Chef you will report to the owners and contribute to regular management meetings, you will have autonomy over the menus and be creative in output. You will need to be passionate about using local and home-grown / home-reared produce and cooking with fresh ingredients.
Vacancy Description:

This role would suit a head chef from a busy restaurant environment who is used to delivering excellent consistency with a level of volume 

·Responsible for the supervision and management for a team of 8 chefs

·Creating all dishes from fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients

·Full menu creativity working with great local produce 

·Fully responsible for all of the departments financial duties

·Recruiting, training and inducting new members of staff

·Planning to logistics of each function with the management team

·Training and mentoring the team

·Ensuring that a great level of communication is constantly carried out during busy services

·Installing health and safety and correct food safety regimes

About you:

·You must have at least two  years’ experience as  head chef with a rosette background and or busy high end quality brasserie style dining environment 

·You will have stayed within your last position for at least the last 12 months

·Be able to create dishes from fresh ingredients

·You must be a natural leader and motivator of people

·Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

·Will be able to nurture and develop the skills of your team

Salary & Benefits:
£38 - 50k per annum plus accommodation
