The Company:
A unique lifestyle opportunity, working for a World renown Exclusive Golf and Leisure European resort located in Portugal - This is an amazing opportunity to manage this great opening with the support of the GM and an ideal role for an established Restaurant manager with a proven background and a profile in a quality dining restaurant or /comparable 5* operation , experience in new openings an advantage. The restaurant will be a 100 cover , Modern Steak house concept with the focus on delivering exceptional service standards. The restaurant will have a VIP clientele owing to the location and reputation of the resort. The client is looking for a restaurant manager who can commit to a long term role (should demonstrate consistency in previous roles) within a progressive environment.
Vacancy Description:

  • You will be involved in the supervision and development of the opening team - 
  • Overseeing the opening operation of a 100 cover plus restaurant
  • Integral part of the successful operation of the business as a whole
  • Overseeing day to day operation of site – Leading / Directing a FOH team
  • Recruitment, Training & Development, Rosters & Payroll, Personnel Files, Appraisals, Grievance & Disciplinaries, Stock Management: Supplier Liaison, Ordering, Invoices, Stock Audits, GP Reporting, Wastage Control
  • Due Diligence: Hygiene, H&S Records & Maintenance of Property & Equipment

Finance Management: Budgets, P&L, Daily / Weekly Bookkeeping & Reporting re: Sales, Purchasing & Payroll, Forecasting & Business Development

About you:

  • Will have comprehensive experience of working on an international/high profile scale
  • Will have experience in a senior capacity in extremely high end restaurants
  • Will demonstrate a good level of experience and be a confident face of the business 
  • Ideal for a Manager who has a clearly established professional history
  • Will be an instinctively strong leader with the ability to motivate, train and develop your staff
  • Will be highly organised
  • Will ideally have experience in a similar opening situation
  • Will be technically very capable
  • Will demonstrate a flexible and positive approach to work
  • Good IT and administration skills are essential
Salary & Benefits:
£35 k per annum package plus accommodation
