- Specifying and delegating duties of kitchen staff
- Developing dishes and menus
- Taking responsibility for the cost effective ordering of all supplies relevant to the efficient running of the kitchen
- Liaising with front of house staff and ensuring that effective communication is achieved between them and kitchen staff
