Our client an independently owned reputable group in Brighton is currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to join their award winning Italian operation. You will have a background in high-end Italian brasserie or fine dining operations. The restaurant places a strong emphasis on seasonal cooking and quality of ingredients, offering an authentic Italian dining experience that showcases the rich culinary traditions of Italy’s diverse regions.
About you The role would suit a dynamic hands on head with premium London restaurant experience who is able to manage a large team and a quality and volume of covers 100 covers , a talented head chef early in their career, looking for a new and exciting lifestyle relocation to Brighton
• Min 2/3 years’ experience as a Head chef working within a quality Italian restaurant/ brasserie environment.
You will be on trend, creative, well organized and have experience of creating exciting Italian regional dishes showcasing the very best of Italian cuisine.
• Work in fast-paced environment with short lead times • Consistent display of leadership skills including communication, inspiration and leading by example.
• Must be passionate foody and have outstanding food knowledge and ability to demonstrate natural flair with a good pallet – basically you must love food and cooking! • Must have an eye for detail • Good all-round knowledge of regional Italian cuisine, various cooking techniques and production processes • Excellent people and communication skills
• Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Have a vision for excellence and methodically look for opportunities to improve what we do daily
