Full time position for an experienced production chef to manage kitchen operations for quality retail butcher’s group. Our kitchen opened 2 years ago and produces high quality cook at home meals & value added butchery products such as beef wellington & pastry pies. Recipes and systems are in place with new head chef responsible for ensuring high standards of are kept. Many products have great taste stars so consistency is key.
Summary of role
• Responsible for management of the production kitchen maintaining high standards of food quality & hygiene.
• Planning, preparation & cooking of weekly production schedule of products.
• Ordering and stock control.
• Manage small kitchen team.
• Training of new staff
• Maintain clear communication with all aspects of the business – you will be liaising with drivers, butchers, shop managers and operations director on a daily basis.
• Manage HACCP system & daily kitchen records
• Occasional development of new & seasonal dishes
Requirements
• Relevant experience of production kitchen making fresh food to recipe
• Food hygiene safety certificate level 2 or above
You will be working from our leafy SW London kitchen, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend requirement at busy times. 8am to 4pm.
