Opportunity for an operations chef manager to oversee our friendly solid established catering teams whose aim is to serve fresh, interesting and nutritious school meals within budget which meet Government, and the federations standards You will be based at one of the primary schools in London Hackney area overseeing the site and offering operational support to all four schools catering teams in the federation.
Menu development focusing on healthy eating /dietary requirements , preparing a 3 week menu cycle
To help promote school lunches and increase update through taster days, newsletters , theme days and other regular events.
Support with catering for events to include governors meetings, school discos etc
Responsible for admin of Heath and Safety ( support offered from admin team) original and workable ideas
Knowledge of current Government standards for school meals
Ability to produce quality food to deadline
Ability to direct and lead a team, support with recruitment
Polite with professional and friendly attitude.
About you
Our client is looking for a candidate who has experience as a Catering Manager/Head Chef level in a professional kitchen in a commercial educational or comparable setting
Ability to manage a budget
Able to maintain a 5* EHO standards in all kitchens
Strong admin and multis tasking skills
The salary range is 40,632 - £42,609 permanent contract - for 36 hours of work 7.30 am - 3.45p.m
