Charity run cafe - serving primarily vegetarian and vegan food currently has an opportunity for a part time chef with experience in cafe or restaurant operations.

Role Details:

 

Our client is hiring a part-time Chef De Partie to support our Food Production Chef in crafting exceptional culinary experiences for conference guests, Café patrons, and other in-house hospitality events. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team, focusing on high-quality food production, menu development, and smooth kitchen operations.

We’re looking for someone experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a love for preparing and presenting delicious food. You’ll assist in developing recipes, upholding food safety standards, and supporting team training and development to help us maintain the quality our guests expect.


You will work part-time as required by the operation 20 hours per week, usually but not set 3 days from 7, including evening and weekend working. You will need to have some flexibility with the days and times you are able to work. 

The hours are generally 6.30am - 2pm 3 days per week Monday - Friday - with very occasional  weekends and evenings ( as an average once per month) 

You will be offered a salary of £20,124 per annum, £ 19.23 per hour employee benefits and generous holiday allowance. Only candidates eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit/visa will be considered for the position. 

About you 

Experience of working in a cafe or restaurant operation with vegetarian cooking experience, ability to get on with people and a personable manner are essential for this role. 

  • At least 3 years’ food production experience in a commercial hospitality environment or educational training kitchen
  • Experience in the purchase, planning and production of menu cycles, recipe files, and method statements and the use of kitchen management systems
  • Comply with training plans and daily food production sheets
  • Knowledge of current food trends



 

 

Salary & Benefits:

£19.23 per hour - 20 hours p/wk
