The role requires upholding the values of our client and maintaining the highest service standards. The candidate will report directly to the Head Chef and will be responsible for managing all catering service personnel, including supervisors, waiters, and baristas. The team is quite established and also include many creatives who are working in the media sector on a part-time basis so key for the manager to be hands on, able to lead by example and gain the respect of the team by displaying professional integrity and demonstrating the highest customer service standards.
There are daily breakfast and lunch services for ~300 colleagues across the two restaurant sites ( within close proximity), as well as coffee bar service throughout the day in both locations. There are also ad-hoc events such as private dinners, corporate events etc. which require staffing and management.
Your responsibilities
- Direct and maintain service standards across two sites, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Oversee service team performance and lead service staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, identifying areas of success and improvement.
- Manage financial budgets and monitor costs.
- Hire and train staff, including temporary and agency staff.
- Schedule staff rosters.
- Handle employee issues and conflicts.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and build customer confidence.
- Manage inventory and order supplies.
- Maintain environmental, food safety, health and safety, and sanitation practices.
- Stay updated with current industry food and beverage trends.
- Foster creativity in food and service ideas.
- Coordinate for events, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.

About you
You must be a fantastic communicator with a warm personality with a genuine love of hospitality and superb customer facing skills
You will ideally come from a high end restaurant hospitality backgroud and have experience also within in a corporate setting fantastic with logistics as you will be overseeing two restaurant sites and also have experience in events. Well presented with both excellent written and spoken English is essential.
You will have experience in managing large teams ( approx 25/30) and the ability to work in a multis faceted operation covering two sites/coffee shops/ events (generally one or two per month)

Salary £45 k neg - Monday Friday daytimes - generally 7- 3pm or 8 - 4p.m
occasional evening events on average one or two per month when you would be required to work later
