One of London’s most renown high profile members clubs and events operations is currently looking for a strong, professional and capable Senior sous chef to join its busy outlet.

The Company:

Our client is currently seeking a flexible and talented calm and level headed sous chef with proven high level senior chef experience in a leading private members club or renown Modern British volume restaurant and bar environment, Michelin * experience an advantage as well as the ability to cater for all the different food aspects of the business including catering for canapes and functions Recently refurbished our client is looking for a senior sous chef to work alongside the accomplished head chef The club is particularly busy at weekends with events and functions ( to include parties and evening canape functions) Days off would be during the week, the brasserie style all day dining restaurant is also open to the public offering breakfast lunch and dinner averaging 200/250 covers per day The senior sous chef would need to well organised and used to working within the constraints of a smaller kitchen environment and able to mentor and create a positive working environment with existing team

Role Details:

Assisting the head chef to Supervise  a team of 5 professional chefs

  • Driving the operations of the kitchen to serve an average of 200 covers ( per day ) in the restaurant on a Friday and Saturday evening and up to 150 per event on a weekly basis
  • Must be experienced and have in-depth knowledge of costing, menu development, staff wage budgeting, supplier setup and liaison and administrative duties
  • Planning the logistics for events and functions
  • Consistently developing and improving the outlets a la carte and events menu
  • Producing high volume of canapés

About You

  • Must be loyal and will have been with your current employer for a period of at least the last 12 months of your career


    • Will have worked within a high volume and fine dining operation and have excellent experience in working with events and functions
    • Be a team player and a natural motivator of people
    • A hard worker and be able to thrive in a high pressured environment
Salary & Benefits:

A basic annual salary of £37- 42 k per annum
